Role & Background
Progressed through IT service management, executive technology leadership and R&D responsibilities within a large gaming-technology operation, including work on an immersive VR casino concept with live dealers.
- Led ITIL-aligned service-management activities covering incident, change and operational processes.
- Served as Interim CTO during an organizational transition, overseeing infrastructure, systems development, cybersecurity, vendors and senior technical teams.
- Later led R&D and product-development initiatives involving emerging technologies, prototyping and new digital-service concepts.
- Developed an immersive online-casino concept combining stereoscopic 360-degree video, spatial audio, VR-headset viewing and live human interaction rather than a fully computer-generated casino environment.
Role Progression
IT service management, Interim CTO and R&D leadership
The engagement began in IT service management, moved into an Interim CTO role during an organizational transition and later shifted into Head of R&D / Product Development.
Across those stages, responsibilities included ITIL-aligned operational processes, infrastructure, systems development, cybersecurity, vendor management, senior technical teams, product exploration and coordination between business and engineering functions.
Immersive Gaming R&D
An immersive online casino platform with live dealers
One R&D track explored a VR casino experience designed around real-life dealers rather than a completely computer-generated environment. The concept combined stereoscopic 3D 360-degree video with spatial / 3D audio so a user wearing a VR headset could feel physically present inside a live casino environment.
The technical problem crossed several disciplines at once: stereoscopic capture, spatial audio, headset playback, streaming, live interaction, application logic, back-end services and the operational requirements of a continuously available gaming platform.
The project remained in R&D and prototyping. Pandemic-era operational disruption ended the work before it could be developed into a production service.
- Stereoscopic 3D 360-degree video captured around real-life dealer environments
- Spatial / 3D audio intended to preserve directional sound inside the headset
- VR-headset experience focused on presence and live human interaction
- Product architecture spanning immersive media, software, streaming and infrastructure
- Research into how an existing online-gaming experience could be translated into a more physically immersive interface
