I recently designed a new site with a back-end, a complete CMS running on IIS written from scratch in ASP using MySQL.

This new site, shortly after going live started getting indexed in Google very slowly, so to speed up the crawling/indexing process I generated a XML sitemap using GSiteCrawler and submitted it to Google under Webmaster Tools

The users are working hard to add content to the site, so the site is growing rapidly. The number of pages reached 300 within just two months. Every time a good dozen of pages get added to the site, I have to run GSiteCrawler to generate another sitemap, save it on the server and resubmitting it to Google. I know that GSiteCrawler offers scheduled sitemap generation, but I like to do this kind of stuff manually, so I could verify that there are no errors when generating the site map. For example: broken links, redirect loops, etc. This way if anything breaks while the tool is crawling the site, I go into the back-end and fix the problem and prepare my CMS to handle these kind of errors better in the future.
