I’ve always been dreaming of building electric vehicles. I’ve even bought a couple of electric scooters. I would do anything to slow down and possibly even stop the way we are currently destroying our planet by burning fossil fuel for efficient transportation, but this is better:
This car runs on compressed air. Can be “charged up” or “refueled” in just a couple of minutes and it could run 200 miles with a single fill-up.
Why I think compressed air vehicles are better than electric vehicles? More »

I haven’t been able to find the source of this list of reasons why go vegetarian. I see it all over the web, but I think it’s very well said and it’s worth spreading the word. If anyone knows where it’s from, please let me know so I could link back to the original site.
ONE HUNDRED & ONE REASONS TO GO VEGETARIAN
PEOPLE
Every year in the UK we feed our livestock enough food to feed 250,000,000 people while in the world 30,000,000 people die of starvation
20 vegetarians can live off the land required by one meat eater
Every 3 seconds a child dies of starvation somewhere in the world
If Americans reduced their meat consumption by 10% it would free 12,000,000 tons of grain – enough to feed 60,000,000 people (the population of Great Britain) More »

I finally bought my first fully electric vehicle: an electric scooter. I rode it home from downtown, about 30 km distance and I did not use a drop of gas. It probably cost me about 5 cents to get home.
To fully charge its batteries takes 4-6 hours and costs about 10-15 cents. A full charge seems to be more than enough for me to get to places in the city. I imagine that a single charge will be enough to get me to work and back, though the bike storage at my office has a wall outlet so I could charge my bike there, and will too… Why risk it for nothing eh?
